First, let me introduce myself.
I’m Coryon Redd. I am an Internet Marketer and entrepreneur. I built a business called batteries4less.com by getting to the top of Google for very competitive keywords like “cell phone batteries” and staying on top for over 10 years. We are a multi-million dollar success story because of intelligent, results-driven inbound marketing.
I have consulted and taught classes for almost 10 years, so blogging is a natural extension of my passion for teaching others what I know. It’s just taken a while for me to get here.
Please look around Coryon.com for videos and resources to help you make more money with your website.
This is my first blog post, ever.
Why blog?
I have been telling my clients to blog for years. Blogs can be a creative outlet but I am more concerned with how they can be used as a tool for business. Blogs are a way to reach your current and potential clients and customers while answering questions and showcasing your expertise. Blogs also help build links that are crucial for getting top Google rankings. For me, this blog is a great opportunity to share the techniques, tricks and insider secrets I use to get websites top search engine ranking. My goal is to help businesses, especially in my local community of Grass Valley, California, to learn Internet Marketing.
Why now?
Let me tell you a story about the Internet Marketing conference that wasn’t. I signed up for the SearchLove Internet marketing conference in San Francisco. I decided to drop over $1,000 because this conference was going to be great. I was going to rub shoulders with expert marketers and discuss SEO, link building, website design and more. I was stoked to learn everything I could absorb and create video and written content to share online.
Then, a few of weeks ago, the conference was cancelled. I was really disappointed because my whole blog launch and even an upcoming presentation were built around this conference. How could I launch my blog without tons of new information from a conference?
Fortunately, one of my best business skills is surrounding myself with great people. One of the members of the Coryon.com team, Evelyn Fassett, scrambled and found a new conference to attend. Not only did she find a replacement conference, but she also found one that promised to expose us to the best in the business. Two weeks ago, on June 19th, Evelyn and I attended the Digital Cream Internet Marketing conference in San Jose, CA. We attended as high level in-house marketers for batteries4less.com to learn the best and most current Internet Marketing techniques. Now, I’m stoked again. I will be sharing the best tips and tricks from this conference in future blogs.

A Final Note from the Author
I play the part of professional consultant and business dude for much of my life so I am looking forward to being a bit more informal in this blog. For sure, most posts will be about marketing training and top notch content. Also, be prepared for stories, quips, put downs, jokes, personal reflections and other potentially freaky stuff. If you are here to learn how to get top search rankings, welcome. Please ignore the occasional tangential follies. If you are here because you like colorful weirdness or if you’re my mom and you are checking up on me because I don’t call nearly as often as I should, please look through my site and my blog. You are likely to learn some cool stuff about Google and websites and marketing and more.
First of all, I love the graphic. It’s a great caricature of you and your bright smile. Second, I enjoy your web marketing tips and though I don’t have my own website currently, I look forward to hearing more about what you know about website improvement, with your tangential follies as well as put downs thrown in.
Congratulations on your first blog post!
Sign me up for the colorful weirdness package with a side of SEO please. Once my site is relaunched I’ll be back to plans for world domination. Good luck on the new blog!
